ADA Compliance

Accessible parking has specific, published requirements — how many spaces, how wide, where the access aisles go, and how they're marked. Most property owners don't have time to become experts in any of that, and they shouldn't have to. What correct accessible parking involves
Dimensions & access aisles
Spaces and access aisles carry required widths and slope limits. We lay them out to the standard, with shared aisles where they save space.
Van-accessible spaces
A set portion of accessible spaces must be van-accessible, with wider clearances. We identify which spaces should carry the designation and lay them out accordingly.
Symbols & marking
The ADA symbol and diagonal lines for access-aisles, painted crisply and in the correct locations, coordinated with the signage your spaces require.

A few of the standards we follow
A few of the published federal requirements we follow (current ADA Standards for Accessible Design):
- Lots with 1–25 total spaces require at least 1 accessible space; 26–50 require 2; the required count continues to scale with lot size. (§208.2)
- At least 1 of every 6 accessible spaces must be van-accessible. (§208.2.4)
- Access aisles are at least 60 inches wide and run the full length of the space. (§502.3)
- Accessible spaces and aisles are kept to a maximum slope of 1:48. (§502.4)
